口感方面：帶有泥炭、杜松和鹽味，相較於香氣，你可以更加明顯地感受到煙燻的風味，同時還有令人愉悅的香草橡木辛香、無花果和水梨軟糖的味道。整體口感中等沉穩，帶有橡木桶的層次感。

老比爾試驗了許多穀類，於1951年最終研發出配方，使用了當地的玉米、冬季小麥和大麥芽，成分比例為玉米（70%）+大麥芽（14%）+冬季小麥（16%）。
