A child prodigy, he began writing songs and piano pieces as early as twelve years of age and by the age of fifteen had composed over 200 works. His family moved to Paris when he was fourteen, at which time he began studying with Georges Caussade at the Paris Conservatory. Georges later studied under the composers Vincent d'Indy and Albert Roussel at the
